Pastor

Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton grew up in Orlando, Fla., and matriculated through Orange County Public School. During her humble beginnings, she was reared under the leadership of Bishop Archie Williams, Senior Pastor of El-Bethel Temple of Jesus. In addition, she served in many capacities as a minister in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Throughout her years of ministry, she served as a licensed minister under the leadership of Pastor Victor Morgan’s Victorious Living Fellowship. Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton became an ordained Elder under Bishop Anthony and Bettie Jones Burns, Pastors of Revival Temple Inc.

Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton held critical positions within national and local church organizations. Some of the areas of services were National Administrative Assistant to Bishop Anthony Burns of Anointed Word Kingdom Assembly, Ruling Elder, Church Administrator, President of the Pastor’s Aides, Coordinator of Procurement, and Sunday School teacher.

Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton has served on several business and community boards, including the NAACP, National Business Enterprise, Community Liaison Board with Channel 52, National Color Women’s Association, and National Women in Business. 

Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton has been a contributing writer for the Orlando Times, a local newspaper in Orlando, Florida. She has also been a well-known local, inner-city Christian talk show host on radio and TV. 

Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton also started a mentoring program for youth in talk radio and community service. Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton started a non-profit community-based outreach corporation called the Women’s Ministry and Ministerial Alliance Inc., which allowed several incredible women to help and honor as many people as possible throughout the community and abroad. Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton has written and produced a small CD entitled Me and My First Lady for married couples. She has also written three books: Don’t Abort the Blessing, Lord Where is My Chosen Mate, Your Heart, Your Healing, Your Health. Rev. Newton has also received the small key to the city of Orlando because of her work to strengthen the communities.

Rev. Newton’s commitment to community service is truly inspiring. She has organized numerous events, including giving scholarships to young people whose mothers were in prison or died due to complications in surgery. Her dedication to assisting single moms through Christmas time is a testament to her selflessness and dedication to helping others.

Rev. Newton’s academic journey is a testament to her dedication and thirst for knowledge. She graduated from Belhaven University with a 3.7 GPA and a bachelor’s degree in applied business management. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Liberty University, where she earned two master’s degrees in theological studies and divinity with a concentration in Biblical Studies. Rev. Newton’s academic journey culminated in receiving her Doctor of Ministry from Bethel University, focusing on pastoral, family, and congregational care.

Recently, Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton became the first African American woman ordained in the Disciples of Christ Florida Region. Rev. Newton’s motto is that each one reaches one life at a time by whatever means is available. Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton assists the Central Christian Church in any area to promote the work of Jesus Christ. Rev. Dr. Patreza Newton is a Ray of Hope Christian Church member under the Leadership of Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale. Rev. Patreza D.Newton is the First woman to be elected to serve as Senior Pastor of First Christian Church of Hanford.
